Nahuel Di Pierro was born in Buenos Aires. He studied at the vocal department of the Artistic Institute of the Teatro Colón, on which stage he sang Masetto (Don Giovanni), Haly (L’Italiana in Algeri), Figaro (Le Nozze di Figaro), Colline (La Bohème) and Guglielmo (Cosí fan Tutte). For the opening season of the Palau de les Arts in Valencia, Spain, he took part in the productions of Fidelio, Don Giovanni and Cyrano de Bergerac.
He is a former member of the Paris Opera Studio and the Young Singer Program of the Salzburg Festival.
In the past few seasons, he sang at the Paris Opera (Salomé, La Sonnambula, Idomeneo, Don Carlo, Don Giovanni, L’Italiana in Algeri, I Capuleti e I Montecchi, l’Incoronazione di Poppea, La Bohème), Covent Garden (Colline, Masetto), Salzburg (Achior from Mozart’s Betulia Liberata conducted by Riccardo Muti), Deutsche Oper in Berlin (Basilio from Il Barbiere di Siviglia), Amsterdam (Léandre from L’Amour des Trois Oranges), Dessau (Sarastro from Die Zauberflöte), Luxembourg (Selim from Il Turco in Italia), Santiago de Chile (Sarastro, Colline), Buenos Aires (Don Giovanni), Baden-Baden and Geneva (Lorenzo from I Capuleti e I Montecchi), Zürich (Lord Sidney from Il Viaggio a Reims and The Cold Genius from King Arthur), Toulouse (Colline, Basilio, Angelotti from Tosca and Ferrando from Il Trovatore), Bordeaux (Haly, Basilio, Colline, Ismenor/Teucer from Dardanus by Rameau), in Angers-Nantes (Selim), the Théâtre des Champs Elysées in Paris (La Voce from Idomeneo, Masetto), and in the festivals in Glyndebourne (Colline), Bad-Wildbad (Walter/Melchthal from Guillaume Tell), Aix-en-Provence, Mostly Mozart in New York and Edinburgh (Guglielmo).
In the concert field, he sang various series with the Orchestre National de France (Kurt Masur, James Conlon, Daniele Gatti), l’Orchestra Giovanile Luigi Cherubini (Riccardo Muti), l’Orchestre de Paris (Louis Langrée, Jérémie Rhorer), l’Ensemble Matheus (Jean-Christophe Spinosi), le Cercle de l’Harmonie (Jérémie Rhorer), le Concert d’Astrée (Emmanuelle Haïm), l’Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique (John Eliott Gardiner), the Hallé Orchestra in Manchester (Mark Elder)… such pieces as Haendel’s Messiah, Paisiello’s Missa Defunctorum, Bach’s Saint John’s Passion, Dvorak’s Stabat Mater, Mozart’s Coronation Mass/C-Mass/Vesperae Solennes de Confessore/Requiem, Berlioz’s L’Enfance du Christ as well as in several programs from Monteverdi to Verdi. He sang recitals in Paris (Salle Cortot) and Toulouse (Capitole).
During season 2016-2017, he makes his role-debut as Osmin from Die Entführung aus dem Serail in Zürich where he also sings Créon from Charpentier’s Médée, he sings Assur from Semiramide in Nancy and Leporello from Don Giovanni for his return to the Aix-en-Provence Festival. He sings Rossini’s Stabat Mater with the Orchestre national de France and sings a solo recital at the Wigmore Hall in London.
