Coloratura soprano

Coloratura soprano Megan Brunning is known for her signature role, the Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte. Other roles performed include Konstanze in Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Norina in Don Pasquale, Olympia in Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance, and Gianetta in The Gondoliers.

Megan has performed with Asheville Lyric Opera, Opera Company of Brooklyn, Opera del West, Opera for the Young, Sugar Creek Opera, Scenic City Opera, Capitol City Opera, the Atlanta Opera, Greensboro Light Opera and Song, Songfest at Colburn, Harrower Opera Workshop, Greek Opera Studio, Festival of the Aegean, and the University of Georgia Opera Theatre.

In 2013, Megan competed as a Regional Finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. She received an encouragement award from the 2014 MONC Georgia District Auditions.

When she is not singing, Megan enjoys spending her time appreciating nature, exploring thrift stores, cuddling with fluffy animals, and eating cake and/or cupcakes.
