Mezzo-soprano

This season, mezzo-soprano Kim Sartor performed as a soloist with the Cantabile Chamber Singers of Toronto and Mississauga’s Windmill Theatre. She debuted with Oshawa Opera as Flora in La Traviata and with Opera by Request as the Dogtor/Doctor in the contemporary Canadian opera, A chair in love. Other credits include Suzuki in Madame Butterfly (SOLT), and the Witch in Hänsel and Gretel (Solar Stage Children’s Theatre). Excerpt roles include Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro and Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel (RCM Scene Study Class). Kim holds a Master of Music from the University of Ottawa and currently studies with Marjorie Sparks. She has participated in young artist programs such as Tapestry New Opera’s “New Opera 101,” the Tafelmusik Summer Baroque Institute, and Summer Opera Lyric Theatre.
