Kevin Myers seduces audiences with his beautiful lyrical tenor voice and brilliant interpretation.

Upcoming engagements for 2016-17 season include the roles of Monostatos at Pacific Opera (Mozart’s Magic Flute), Fenton (Verdi’s Falstaff - Manitoba Opera), Pang (Puccini’s Turandot - Calgary Opera) and numerous concerts and recitals such as the “Christmas concert” in Rimouski. Kevin was resident-singer at Calgary Opera’s Emerging Artist program for the 20152016 season.

On the operatic stage, Kevin has had success since his debut as Imeneo in Handel’s opera of the same name with Opera McGill. He has since performed over 15 operatic roles including Tamino, Nemorino, Lysander, Remendado, Hadji, Christian (The Vinedressers), Victorin (Die Tote Stadt) with Opera McGill, Opera NUOVA, Highlands Opera Studio and Calgary Opera (as a member of their Emerging Artist program). He has had the pleasure of working with conductors like Bramwell Tovey, Boris Brott, Andrew Bisantz, Gordon Gerrard, Robert Tweten and Topher Mokrzewski.

Equally comfortable in concert settings, Kevin has performed with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, the Deep River Symphony Orchestra, the Ottawa Valley Music Festival Orchestra, the McGill Symphony Orchestra, the Festival Singers, Victoria Baroque Players and toured China performing opera in concert during December 2012/January 2013 as a laureate of the Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques program.

While in Montreal, Kevin had the good fortune of working with illustrious coaches like Louise Pelletier, Esther Gonthier and Michael McMahon. He has sung under conductors as varied as Matthias Maute, Wayne Riddell, Jordan de Souza, Gregory Charles and Timothy Shantz in choirs such as McGill Chamber Singers, the choir of the church of Saint Andrew and Saint Paul, the Choeur de Chambre du College Vocal de Laval and Luminous Voices.

he was accepted into McGill University’s Vocal Performance program, where he studied with Stefano Algieri. He completed his Master of Music degree in Voice and Opera under the tutelage of renowned American baritone Sanford Sylvan.
